Hi everyone! I am so sorry about the lack of posts that I have published these past few months. I know many of you rely on my posts for suggestions on things to do, places to visit, and places to take relatives who might be visiting from out of town. I apologize deeply for not posting these past few months, but I was caught up in all of the political hype leading up to the election and trying to back my candidate 110%. Unfortunately things did not work out the way I wanted them too, but I have to take what comes I suppose. However, I am back to normal now and will try to start posting more often.
Anyways, my family and I went to CityScape, located in Downtown Phoenix, tonight for their Christmas tree lighting and ice rink spectacular. The event was a great way to kick off the Christmas season and you could sure tell that a lot of people were in the Christmas spirit which I absolutely love this time of year especially :) The event began at 6:30 PM and was hosted by Kristy Siefkin who is the weekend meteorologist on FOX 10 NEWS here in Phoenix. The Christmas tree lite up around 6:45 after a couple of various speeches that took place in the ceremony leading up to the lighting. Afterwards, there were a lot of people that took part in the skating fun that the ice rink offered. The ice rink was a fantastic addition to the event and I am so happy that I was able to have a taste of Colorado right here in Arizona!
If you are interested in the ice rink, it runs from tonight all the way thru January 6th, 2013. The cost is $12.00 per person and you can skate for an unlimited amount of time. It is a fantastic way to get into the Christmas spirit and I highly recommend it for families looking to do something fun one night or over the weekend!
Again, I apologize for not posting more often these past couple of months, but I will start becoming better! I wish you all a Merry Christmas season and I will have another blog post coming up before then! Talk to you later :-)
