We went on a boat ride slash booze cruise today. It was so nice, it lasted for about 6 hours, we sailed around on the ocean, stopping every now and then, either for a swim or at islands. The beaches at the islands were amazing, there were honestly some of the nicest beaches i have ever seen in my life. Well after a loooooong journey, we´ve finally reached the Atlantic coast, at a place called Paraty. We set off at 5am from Bonito on Sunday morning, and the original plan was to drive until about 9pm, then free camp on the side of the road, then set off early today (monday) to arrive in Paraty in the afternoon. We are in Bonito now, which is a fairly small town but really pretty, and geared towards tourists, so there´s loads of restuarants and bars and shops etc. It is known for eco-tourism, and there´s loads of wildlife everywhere. Just spend three nights on a farm in an area called the Pantanal, which is a huge swamp-land area that´s twice the size of France! We all slept in hammocks in this big barn and got eaten alive by mosquitos.... We´re in Brazil now, its so cool! Think this is gonna be my fave country. I went on a helicopter ride over the Brazilian side of the Iguazu falls today. Bit expensive but was really good and got some brilliant views of the falls.
