We stayed in Arraial DÁjuda for a week, partly because our hostal was really good - we had a 2-floor little apartment to ourselves that could fit 6 people in, plus the pool was HUGE and overlooked the beach. We also stayed for that long because when we arrived on the Thurs we found out that the biggest water park in Latin America was here so planned to go there on Sat. But (typical) it was only open on Thurs and Fri cos its out of season now so we decided to wait around til the next Thurs so we could go.
The town itself was really pretty - it feels like a ´fake´ place cos there´s little fairy lights everywhere and loads of cute bars and restaurants. We found a cocktail bar we really liked so went there nearly every night! Had quite a good night out at the club next door as well. Oh, and a really nice creperie (i´ve now been converted to liking savory crepes).
We didnt do much during the days, apart from sunbathe round the pool, and went to the beach a couple of times. We went snorkelling as well but it was complete rubbish, especially compared to the last time i went in Bonito. We went on this horrible rough boat ride, then the area we were supposed to snorkel in was basically a big puddle of sea water with a bit of coral reef in it, but the water was so murky and there was so many people there that you couldnt really see anything. We complained and got some money back tho, haha.
The water park was really good - not quite as many rides as i´d thought, being the biggest water park, but it was also an ´Eco park´ cos it was attached to the beach, so they do a lot of work on the coral reefs and with the sea life etc. The best thing was this zip line that you could go on that ended in the swimming pool, was so much fun!
Then we took another overnight bus to Salvador....
