Jodhpur is the Blue City. We were told by one guide that initially the blue paint was used to keep houses cool and repel mosquitoes. Having made no subsequent research I'll let this be fact until proven fiction. After a freezing cold all night bus trip we arrived in Jodhpur at 4:30 in the morning.
