So after waking up with a stinking cold and sore throat, it was time to head off down the west coast to the land of sand flies & mosquito!!! And omg it is. So after a lovely visit to Wellington and staying with relatives for a few days, it was a 3am wake up call to catch the 6am ferry to the South Island... So I arrive into a wet, rainy Taupo and stop off at the bunji jump site! Omg I wish I had the guts to do it. It was a cliff facing jump down into lake Taupo. So instead if jumping I decide to head 4km out to huka falls and take a speed boat ride instead. What great fun! Last night I adventured out to Tamaki Maori village, which is just outside Rotorua. The evening begins where the Maori tribe arrive to greet you and your chosen chief. This has to be an English speaking male!! You are then taken into the village where you are shown to different houses and how they live. One of the houses is showing you the huka and the dance moves,you then move on to see how they cook their food underground, how it's stored and what they eat. Yo...

For those of you that have been here, you'll know how much it stinks of bad eggs with the sulphur! So today I went to Te Puia which has all the geezers & lots of bubbly mud!!! Plus a kiwi house.
