Hi, we have arrived in Taupo, yet again another beautiful place, Lake Taupo is massive. Apparently it is big enough for Singapore to fit in the middle and you could still drive a boat around the outside?? I have lovely tonsalitus so I have been to the docs today, not what I want to be spending my money on but hey, at least I should be better in a few days. We have had a good look around Taupo and taken a few pictures of the Lake and stuff, we have been to see Huka falls, a place were a huge river, which I cant remember the name of, possibly the Huka river, narrows to a quarter of its size almost immediately, so good pics and we have also been to the site where the Crater lake burst its banks a few days ago. Not sure if u heard about this, apparently it was international news?? We also saw mount Dune on our drive into Taupo, apparently this is famous for the Lord of the Rings??Rotarua is our next stop.
