Hey everyone! After leaving Lake Mahinapua we drove to Franz Josef. It was a long drive and on the way i started to feel very ill, sore throat headache the works! Everyone on our bus has either been ill or is ill! I had pre booked a full day hiking on the Franz Josef Glacier for the day after we got there but we arrived at 5pm on the 9th and i went straight to sleep and i never woke up until 10.30 the next morning, man i was feeling rough.

So i didnt go on my Glacier hike which i was gutted about. Gemma wasnt well either but she had pre booked a sky dive for that evening, and nothing was stopping her from doing that. After realising that i had missed my chance to see the glacier up close i called the sky dive people and booked a slot for the morning after Gemma. It was all quite out of the blue, but my only option to get to see the Glacier so it all went from there.

I must have had about 2 hours sleep that night because i was so nervous about my sky dive. We got picked up at 6am this morning, drove about 30 mins to the dive site (It was the longest 30 minute drive of my life!). We got kitted up and off we went......

There were 6 people from our bus diving but the plane was only big enough for 2 divers and 2 instructors at a time, so Marga and I went first. It was absolutely mental, we had a 20 minute scenic flight over the Glacier until we reached 12000ft and then they flew open the door of the plane and out we went. There was 45 seconds free fall and then a 4 minute parachute ride and then a nice smoth landing to finish. Oh my god it was amazing! I have bought a DVD of the dive but i have tried to put it on the site and had no luck yet, Il keep trying though because its both funny and cool! I cant beleive i did a sky dive! Woo hoo!

Anyway after skydiving, we met up with the Kiwi bus at Lake Mattheson and had a nice breakfast, then we headed for Wanaka. We stopped at a few cool places to get pictures but again it was a long drive! We have just arrived in Wanaka and tomorrow we are moving on to Queenstown. Because its a very quick visit here il just update when we are in Queenstown!

So far New Zealand is amazing, it such a beautiful place as im sure u'l agree from my photos and the Kiwi bus is taking us right to where it is all happening. GOOD TIMES! xx
