Day 8, 26th January
6am start today waiting for the coach to pick us up to take us to a local resturant for brekkie after waiting 20mins outside the hotel as the man who owns the hotel was sleeping on a z bed in the lobby (i guess that's what they call 24hr service lol) to find out the resturant was opposite the hotel....
Our trip today was to see the Vinh Moc tunnels where people used to live during the Vietnam War to fool the Americans. Was really amazing to walk (Mel had to duck) through them thinking that just over 30 years ago babies were being born in maternity wards which are sooo tiny and that there daily life was in the dark small conditions. coming out on each level of the tunnels there is a view of the China Sea so atleast the people could come out for air at night when they couldn't be seen. We actually saw a man that had been born in the tunnels which reminds you that the Vietnam war wasn't actually so long ago at all!
Now have to look into hotels for our next stop tomorrow in Hoi An thankfully not a trip on the night bus again yet though.....
