OK so we arrived in Koh Phagnan on Friday after a pleasant ferry ride from Koh Tao (compared to the first ferry), where we were advised to stay at silvery moon bungalows on baan tai beach. the taxi dropped us off there where we were ... i don't know how to explain it other than we felt we would see Ant and Dec any minute on I'm a Celebrity get Me Out Of Here. The path down to the actual resort was very steep, buggy and in the middle of nowhere (around 100metres long with our big packpacks and hot thailand heat). We paid for the bungalow (which was very nice) but it was just too quiet and we wanted to be more central to where all the fun was. So we jumped back in a taxi and headed to Haad Rin beach area to try find a livliar atmosphere. We found a place called Rimbeach Resort which was bungalows on the sea front and had a massive swimming pool, was a really gorgeous resort so decided we would settle there for 3 nights.

Our next 3 days pretty much consisted of sunbathing, eating and an occasional drink here and there. The first night we heded down to the beach where it was very lively. Drinks pouring, dancing and a huge skipping rope on fire which people could jump over (i'm sorry mum and dad but i did it) burnt my leg a little but im guessing because of the adrenalin it didn't hurt me!)

Saturday day we hired some mopeheads and drove around the island a little bit. don't worry though, it was really safe and everyone hire sthem over here. saw some beautiful views too. Laura first got on the bike and managed to crash into a stationary motorbike, but all was fine and we set off to explore. Laura then ran out of petrol on a big hill so all 3 of us (with the help froma german guy) had to try push it to the side before a car came. Rather hilarious looking back.

On sunday day, Steph and I were bored of sunbathing so left Loz by the pool and went for a oil massage. As soon as we walked into the back room the Thai lady goes "Take off all your clothes please" to which Steph and I giggled horrendously for hours and Steph turns and goes (bearing in mind she is half naked) Pants too? But the massage was very good and well worth it. That night we met 3 english boys and a girl from Plymouth, had a 3litre beer tower of Singha beer with drinking games and decided to head to the infamous Black Moon Party on the beach. We loved the atmosphgere - glow in the dark paints etc, however... when Loz and Steph went to the toilet and were offered ecstacy on 3 occasions we decided we'd throw our drinks away and get a taxi back to our hotel. Not our scene but I guess we had to go check it out. As an American guy we met said "I don't understand why people do drugs, alcohol is my drug" Agreed my yankee friend, agreed!!

The next day we were off to Koh Samui....
