today me and Susan woke up at 9 o'clock to get ready for check out and get ready for breakfast. We packed up our stuff and made our way down to breakfast were we were looking forward to the chocolate croissant however sadly there was only normal ones!! Nonetheless, they were just as good along with the coffee. We grabbed our bags and made our way to the train station obviously the wheel on my new case broke! When we arrived at the train station we were aware of luck pockers as you could spot them a mile away it was quite scary! We were roasting and stressed and tired and just wanted to get on the train as it was a 3hour 45min ride. Luckily we got first class and on the train were offered free wine and cookies! The train went in quicker than expected and we made our way to the hotel. When we arrived at Venice train station immediately we stepped out and were right there iwith the canals, bridges and beautiful buildings. We walked to our hotel amongst the thousands of people and eventually found it! We got freshend up in the room and planned on walking to hard rock which was a half an hour walk. On the way we passed the canals and bridges taking pictures with every gondola in sight as we could not believe our eyes! We made a slight u-turn heading towards hard rock and ended up on St Marks Square. We turned a corner and boom here we were. St Marks Square with a huge beautiful cathedral, we were in absolute shock as we were not expecting this at all. If anything could take our minds off a hard rock then this was certainly it! We walked around looking at the beautiful building which took us on the water front with other beautiful buildings typical to Venice. We made it to hard rock and got a table right away, we were so excited! Our waiter Rory was from Ireland and we had a good bit of banter with him. Our food came right away we had Mac cheese and chicken it was unbelivableeeee! We were that excited that we ate it too fast and struggled to finish it, however there was always room from cocktails! We got pickled tink and a hurricane (Susan wanted blue devil) but we were too nice to say. The view from hard rock was looking onto the canals and gondolas it was one of the best meals ever. After, we decided to wander back to the hotel, however on our way we heard guitars and it took us onto a street with 2 normal men with guitars and people sitting round next to the canal drinking wine and chilling. We decided to join and take a seat on the bridge and listen to the relaxing music. Soon people began to copy our idea and sit down, it was interesting seeing the variety of people all sitting around listening to great music of only 2 guitars. We waited until they had finished and walked home. We have fallen in love with Venice, the atmosphere, the people, how relaxed everyone is and most importantly how safe we feel.
