Last night we decided to set no alarms and get a long lie as we were absolutely shattered. I think because Venice is so relaxed we slowed down and everything has caught up on us. We got ready and set out to find some breakfasts at the square, what we didn't realise was how far the square was/how expensive it was going to be! We made a U-turn and ended up lost, standard! After me being fussy we ended up with pizza and sitting on the steps of a canal. It was really good pizza after all. Later we made our way over a bridge and checked out the market that was on. The sun was at its strongest now so we started to feel tired, however we decided to go on a gondola ride to perk us up! The gondola ride was amazing there was no words to explain how relaxing and peaceful it was floating around the city in the small streets and grand canals. We had sailor hats that said 'Venzia' on it and put them on to make us feel like typical tourist! We passed the place where George Clooney got married, casanovas house and moetsarts house. Looking at the houses up close and thinking about how they lived was so interesting. After the gondola the heat was unbearable at this point we were so exhausted and dehydrated that we didn't even have the energy to take pictures of this beautiful city so we both decided to make our way back to the hotel to chill until later. A little nap and we felt refreshed and back to normal! We made our way to get some food and stopped at a restaurant for an aperol spritz and spaghetti carbonara! It was pricey but delicious! We went to see our favourite guitars play and chilled with a corona by the canal watching the world go by listening to the guitars then made our way back to the hotel. We absolutely love Venice and it is definitely my favourite place in the world.
