Claire woke up to a huge scream and bang from the bathroom - Dave had fallen over cracking his side on the bath.
Following a silent half hour and a sulking Dave with now 'broken ribs' we set off on his itinerary - no temples, no monuments, one prison, 2 cafes and an ice cream shop called fanny's.
The prison, known as Hanoi Hilton has now been more or less knocked down apart from one side, which still holds some detention cells, death row and the guillotene!
The cafe's were excellent and the ice creams were nice, but somehow didn't have the fanny taste. (dave was so looking forward to putting that).
We then made our way to the watter puppet show, which is supposed to be the must see event in hanoi, however we mainly saw the back of the heads of a middle aged couple with the biggest sodding camera we've seen! Apart from the annoying want to ram the camera into the wall and hit the guy in the head the show was fair interesting - a full insight into the traditional vietnamese life.
Seen as it was also valentines day we decided to splash out a little on a nice meal - £5 later and stuffed from all our food we had a walk round the streets of old Hanoi before going back to pack.
