Another early start and it was to head straight for the dock for our rowing boat round the floating fishing village. This was true Viatnamese life and was good to get away from the tourist route! We were taken through homes on the river with children just shouting 'Hello' and waving before we were taken to the caged fish breeding farm where 1000s of fish kept to obviously breed. Met up with Briege and Layne at the bus stop to start our trip to Cambodia. After 3 hours on the bus we finally stopped to get on the Mekong Delta. We were taken by boat through a floating village and markets, looking at how rice paper and coconut candy is made. We were then taken back onto the Mekong for a one hour boat journey up the river. Got up early and caught our coach to the Cu Chi tunnels. The Cu Chi tunnels are a series of passage ways underneath Cu Chi, totalling 250km in length and as small as 60cm by 80cm in places. They were sites of many fmous battles during the wars and they were originally built to fight the French, but they were used more during the American war. Had our last morning at the beach sunbathing as usual and then caught the 2 pm bus to Saigon. Unfortunately it was a sleeper bus which was a it annoying!
