The Further Adventures of Claire
The shocking thing about belgium is that art is a part of every day life. The cathedral, the art inside, the art nouveau neighborhoods, public sculpture, galleries, graffitti, poetry written on the sides of buildings, the buildings themselves...
Plus nearly everyone I see on the street has the "hip brooklyn modern dancer" look, the only other options are traditional islamic or hasidic jew.
It is little wonder that the audiences I have been sitting with here are by far younger than those in other countries (mine especially).
Jasper, my lovely host here in Antwerp, recommended that I watch "Anywhere the wind blows" because it is set in Antwerp and made by belgians. I think it will give you the idea, if you can manage to find and rent it.
