This morning I woke at about 8, Sue about 9 and I woke the twins up at 10. We met up with Elselynn and Leo and headed off to get brunch from The King of Sandwich which apparently serves the best toasted sandwich in the world. Well, it was ok. I ended up with a Chipotle Chicken and Avocado, if course without the avocado. Trying to cut down on calories. We decided that as it was Black Friday we would do a bit of shopping and look around the different casinos and shops. Sue found a Pandora shop and she bought a rose gold and silver bracelet with a dice (yes, I know it should be ‘die’, but it came in a pair and Katie got the other). We did see a lot of The Strip which kept on confusing Matt when we were constantly being asked if we wanted to go to a Strip club. Apparently the capital letter is important. It continued to get colder so we decided that we would get dinner at Gordon Ramsay’s Bar and Grill. Katie was legitimately upset that he wasn’t on the premises. What I ordered was fine; shepherd’s pie with bubble & squeak with a side order of Brussel Sprouts cooked with Sriracha sauce, bacon and pickled onions. It actually worked. The waiter was good as well, recommending a draft beer from Sierra Nevada called Celebration which wasn’t on the menu.
On the way back to our hotel Katie was feeling quite cold and raced into a shop. About $180US later she emerged with jacket, gloves and beanie. I think she might now be set for the Grand Canyon.
