After going to Koh Samui we took the ferry across to Koh Phangan. This is where the famous full moon parties are held where around 30,000 people gather on had rin beach once a month and party all night till sunrise. I was not there at full moon to witness that but there was enough people there in the build up to it and still lots of partying on the beach! I have met a few girls who are travelling around and some have very similar airtickets to mine and are going to Australia next so I have had lots of company now and also in Australia. One of the girls knew that Had rin is not the best beach to go to in Koh Phangan so we decided one day to go exploring and got a pickup truck/taxi to take us to the remote beach she had heard about which was an hour away. It was all very nice and it was just us 3 girls with 6 hunky men who were camping there so we had a nice day until.....the taxi man promised he would come and get us at 4pm as there was no way a bus or normal taxi could navigate the route but he didnt come back!! The guys said we could stay over but with no stuff with us we decided to walk and see where it took us. We ended up hitchhiking back with a local guy who took us back for free so it all ended up OK. We decided not to explore anymore beaches on the following days and stick to the one in Had Rin after that!
