Christinas travels!
It was pretty amazing staying in the rainforest. The little wooden huts were very hot inside but with the water right on your doorstep every hour you could go for a dip. The 2 nights we stayed in the little cuckoo houses all you could hear were the insects and wildlife buzzing in the background but luckily I didnt encounter anything to scary. Steph who I was sharing a room with told me after we left that 1 night there were 2 lizards on the the top of our mosquito net and she saw them when she was reading. Luckily she was not bothered by them and thought against waking me up! Im so glad I didnt know until after we left!
The tubing was good fun and the river had enough of a current for you to just float down and we stayed on there for 2 hours. One of the girls wasnt looking where she was going and ended up crashing into the side. Not only that but she hit a tree with massive needles on it so she got entangled and the guide had to rush to her rescue. She was OK though and carried on after they got her out!
There were not many restaurants to choose from as we were in quite a remote location - but if you walk down to any of the restaurants once your ready to come home and its dark they pile you all in to there pick up truck and take you back to wherever your staying which is nice. I had my torch on me at all times here though so that I could see what I might possibly be stepping on as even the frogs were poisonous.
