Christinas travels!
Cape Town has some lovely beaches but we havent had too much time to chill out on them as we are off visiting other places. Its fine for me though as Im here for 2 weeks so Ill have loads of time from Saturday to get some rays.
We went off to the winelands in the morning where you get to sample lots of locally produced red and white wine. Believe it or not but I actually managed to drink them without any lemonade!! I didnt have much choice really as I dont think it would of gone down to well with the wine expert if Id of tipped some lemonade in. I found 1 in particular which was very nice so Ill have to keep an eye out for it when I get home.
In the afternoon we went by Cable Car up to Table Mountain. Its right next to the main centre so you get a excellent view of everything. My camera is back working and someone up there had this massive wide angled camera and said I could load my memory card in it so hopefully the picture will come out well. The temparature drop was dramatic, Yan told us to take up thick jumpers or coats but we didnt think it would be so noticeable as it was 100 degrees down at the bottom. But he was so right as it was freezing and windy at the top.
In the evening we went to the Victoria and Albert Waterfront which is a massive complex of shops, restaurants and bars. It reminds me a bit of Puerto Banus with all the boats moored up but on a larger scale. Loads of designer shops but think I will have to avoid them as otherwise Ill be tempted to buy things !
