Christinas travels!
We were up early today at 6.30 and went for a 3 hour walk! We wondered why they had to get us up at this time but realised why when we got back at 10am and it was 100 degrees!! Its weird to think it is snowing in England so you are all freezing and I have the other extreme and its too hot. Apparently it will get cooler as we head down towards Cape Town. Luckily there was a pool to cool down in and so sat by that for a while with the ostrich. In the late afternoon we went on another safari trip in the search of lions as more of a chance of seeing them in the dusk. No luck today but did see amongst other things a herd of Elephants with 2 babies about 4 weeks old. They walked right past the jeep and we could near enough touch them.
We are staying in lovely huts in the forest but not as luxurious as first few days. There was just a sleeping mat and no pillow! Still when I see the shacks of metal that the local people live in all piled on top of one another and they live there all the time you dont even think about complaining.
On the following day we visted a local school which the tour company sponsors. All the children sang and danced to us and we sat through a lesson!
