I like it when a massage student asks me for feedback; "and how was that?".
How the frik should I know, I was passed out unconscious!!??' This course has been a major score actually. Ive ended up getting more massages than Ive given. And when its one of the teachers.. I had a massge the other day and realised, to my horror, that I was drooling right through the hole you put your face through, onto the floor tiles (its NOT MY FAULT, shes a s*** hot masseuse!!). What was worse was that even once Id realised I was doing it, I lacked the capacity to do anything about it. My brain was saying 'close your mouth' but my mouth was saying 'glaaaaaaaa'.
Im nice arent I.
So Im doing the course in Chiang Mai and its been a really nice thing to do here. I have nice people in my group, Japanese, and theres a restaurant that we all go to for lunch (all the massage schools in the area). Although I have to say most western people here studying massage here are the kind who wear 'go green' t-shirts and those special traveller trousers that make me instantly embarrassed to be seen talking to the wearer. Plus Im not the most tactful so Ive snorted into my lemon iced tea on more than one occassion when people have started talking about 'karma maaaan' or the meaning of life. Please. The meaning of life cannot be found in a vegetarian restaurant. It is not tofu.
And the other bonus of doing the course all week is that I havnt had to do any treeking. (I figure I did it 5 years ago, the jungle wont have changed thaaat much). I can get down to the beaches guilt free and Im looking forward to doing sweet FA. All this massaging, its tiring business!!
;) xx
