Hey, great to have you back blogging. I can only assume it was technical problems, rather than disinterest in your many avid readers, that has kept you quiet for a few weeks

Ha - my ones needed to go to the hospital too so couldnt take me back to the city too! They didnt give me too much grief about dropping me at the train station tho, that sounds even worse, u poor thing. Its sucks so bad that its ruining travellers impression of KL. Oh well Im a big believer in Karma, theyll get whats coming to them. Where u off to next? Oh well we wont make the same mistake again!! ;)

Hi
Just reading your blog as I was trying to see who else hating KL! The same thing happened to me with the blackjack scam! But with me their little sister was going to be a nurse in London could I come and reassure their elderly mum. They were really nice and I tried to get out of going but they said I'd be 20 mins and they'd bring me back to KLCC and their mum would be so pleased. So stupid me got in the taxi with them. The uncle worked in Genting at the casino there and again it was the back room off the kitchen! I bet it was the same people but they give different names to different people. Luckilly I didn't have any money either and once he gave me the $200 I clicked that I'd read about something like this and I'd lose the money and have to pay them back somehow. I said I had to go to the bathroom and took my bag with me. I also said I didn't want to play anymore. They said that they would take me back but they had to visit their mum in hospital so couldn't take me back to KLCC but they only said this once I was in the car and I didn't know where we were going! I demanded to be taken to the train station and they did take me there but tried to get me to give them some petrol money! I didn't and I scarpered! I was so angry with myself for being so stupid and naive. It was my first day in Malaysia too and put me right off. I'm glad to read that it wsn't just me! Glad you got out ok too.

G'day! :D You know I get a real kick outta saying that to people as I pass them by. Especially the Aussies, I think it freaks them out "Why did that Pommie say..."
SO GLAD TO BE HERE IN AUSTRALIA! Expect some happy clappy blog entries soon :)

Well done that you got out of there, although slapped head for getting drawn into it in the first place. ..
Looks like the website mentioned by Ewan should be compulsory reading for all travellers..
