Day 10 Mal
Today we went to the Argentinian side of the Falls. Just when we thought we had seen it all, we were absolutely blown away. We started at the top of the falls today at Devils throat looking down. This is 82 metreshigh, compared with Niagara Falls which is 51 m high. we approached the viewing platform we were already getting soaked from the spray. The force of the water was absolutely immense as you will see from the photographs and videos. This side of the Falls is much larger than the Brazilian side. A 9 km walk to complete. We did three levels here ending with a boat trip ride. We had to take a safari car which was half an hour down to the river. Here we boarded the boat and headed for the Falls. It was an extremely thrilling experience. As we went under the Falls we were absolutely drowned the force of the water was immense. We went into the Falls three times. Very exciting. Out seven hours today and ended up walking 20,000 steps too. A very memorable occasion and will certainly be in our top 10 things in the world to have done and seen, feeling very lucky.
Chris - Our small group tour today trned out just to be 2 of us. We were pleasantly surprised when we were piked up by Antonio - the same guide that looked after us in Brazil. Fortunatey I'd only put nice things about him on TripAdvisor.
Mal has said most, but it was an absolutely amazing spectacle. Photos can never really reflect what you see. Really privileged to have seen it.
