Day 5... went to Alexanderplatz this morning. Market with street performers. Made reservation for onward journey to Krakow in Poland for Tuesday 9th. Olympiastadion in the afternoon. Beautiful stadium hosted the Olympics and the 2006 World Cup Final (Zidane, Materazzi et al). Hertha Berlin v Nurnburg... not a great match, Hertha lost 0-1... amazing atmosphere. First day of the new season and Hertha's first game back in the Bundesliga. Met a Israeli called Yuval, sitting next to each other at the game. Really nice guy. Went into town after the game for noodles. Back at the hostel now with a bottle of Sprite and a white Lion bar... back of the net!
