Civilisation - meaning showers, sheets, blankets - no need to wear a hat in bed and it doesn't deflate when you are asleep.

I have booked a rather luxurious family rooms with kitchen and room to put all our stuff and an extortiate cost that has out stripped our total spending so far! Still its nice to have hot water, space and dryness!

Got the bus down to Fishermans Wharf and lo & behold there was a National Park Area on Hyde Key so we got in another quick Junior Ranger badge bringing the total up to 7. Quite and interesting cargo boat commissioned in Tyne & Wear that spent 30 years taking wood to Australia to support the mines, tinned salmon down from Alaska and Wheat to London. Also a passenger ferry like those in Hong Kong and Sydney that was then replaced by cars as the Golden Gate Bridge went up.

No 2 was 7 yesterday but as we spent most of the day in the car didn't get round to celebrating much - so today we had piza for tea and put the candles in the piza! She was desparate to go to the cinema. but the only thing we have seen on is Bunny House, or something as we're sure its not about cuddly animal type bunnies. LM had a long chat with a SFPD officer today who commented on his combat t-shirt and gun holster - asked if he was keeping the streets safe!
