Happy christmas to everyone We had our christmas at Moreton Bay Lodge amongst the mixed backpackers fraternity (more on that later). Dinner included prawns, scallopes and pompodoms and NO TURKEY! Kids pleased with their little set of presents including rubiks cube, pack of playing cards and lots of cars for LM. Off to Wet & Wild water park today and leave for Phuket tomorrow. We did it - to coin a phrase from LM. Off we set with our sleeping bags and food for 2.5 days - girls carrying their own stuff - CT & I carrying the rest and we walked total of 22km in all weathers - rain, wind, sun to the Routeburn Hut at 1000m - Falls. LM managed to walk 6k the first day. We tried out the packet food you see in Millets - yes it is horrible! More update from girls later.
