Oloha everybody We left Vegas and had a short flight to LA then we spent a 6hr flight to Honolulu arrived at 9pm very tired. 12th to 15th feb Arrived in Vegas after a very bumpy flight ( I was not impressed) we were flying quite low as it was only 1hr 15min flight which gave us a good view of the snow covered mountains, quite a site to see. Wed 9th Feb We are staying at the Holiday Inn at fishermans wharf, hotel is very nice but not as posh as the one in Chicago.We spent most of the first day walking the streets of San Francisco there seemed to be more uphills than down. saw the sea lion colony at pier 39, an amazing sight. they have taken over the area and about 60 sea lions live there all the year round. in the summer there can be anything up to 600 all living around the wharf. Mon 7th Feb We arrived in Chicago at 3.30pm American time, weather was very miserable and cold. the hotel was fabulous, overlooking the river and 30 floors up.
