Arrived Singapore late afternoon and when we walked out of the airport the heat and humidity hit you, it took your breath away. Lisa and Si are staying in a hostel which is a bit more upmarket than some they have stayed in. Singapore is a fantastic city, it is so clean and the shopping centres are everywhere. it is so cheap here, you can get around by using taxi's which cost very little. We all went over to Sentosa island which is just across the harbour, we went over by cable car and the views were amazing when I dared open my eyes, I quickly closed them when I realized how high up we were. There was lots to see and do and we stayed until the evening to see a musical fountain and laser show, it was well worth it, Iv'e never seen anything like it. The heat and humidity are getting to me now and I am ready to come home to a cooler temperature. Fri 1st Our last evening was spent with Lisa and Si, we had a nice meal down by the river and Lisa and I said a very tearful goodbye. We left for home on the midnight flight from Changi airport and endured a very long 13 1/2 hr flight which seemed very weird to fly all that way in the dark. We arrived in Heathrow at 6.45 am Sat morning and we were met by Kaz and Steve with our car, we got home safe and sound but very jet lagged. Well that's all folks until wev'e saved up enough money for our next adventure to the Canadian Rockies.
