We have taken a couple of trips out this week, with some of the people from the Spanish school. Restinga National Park is a wildlife sanctuary in the north of the island - though birds and seahorses were the only things we were able to spot. We have now moved to the south of the Island to a place called Pampatar, nothing more than a smalll fishing village. Its where the Spanish school is based and we have enrolled for 2 weeks. We are staying in a place where we are the only English speakers. It makes communication fun and riddled with pointing fingers and walking around with a dictionary all the time.
