Chris and Carol's World Trip
We have now moved to the south of the Island to a place called Pampatar, nothing more than a smalll fishing village. Its where the Spanish school is based and we have enrolled for 2 weeks.
We are staying in a place where we are the only English speakers. It makes communication fun and riddled with pointing fingers and walking around with a dictionary all the time.
Wer have a class in the morning and get to go to the beach in the afternoon. Beach life consists of Empanadas for lunch (deep fried corn tortillas filled with meat) bought from Beach vendors and 3 beers each for 50p. Life doesn't get much better than this.
We made friends with a local bar owner through a pigeon conversation with his mother. She was fascinated by all things English and as we are the only foreigners on the beach it didn't take long to get her attention. We now have an appointment for lunch on Saturday with the whole family !
Thats it for now but we will post more as the adventure unfolds.
