G'day! I've had the very best of days!!! Woke up extremely early this morning...jet lag is a b****! But I went for a lovely walk with a girl I've met here at Hervey Bay along the beach at 7.30 this morning. It was stunning, the sun was shining and it was really hot. The only thing is that the flood has washed all the skanky water into the sea and it's quite murky - they reckon it's gonna clear in a couple of weeks but we'll be gone by then!

Marie got here today - it was a very special and hilarious moment, we both kinda screamed! I've literally never been so happy to see someone. We haven't stopped talking since we've been together! It's so nice. We went to the beach and went in the warm sea and then walked about 3 miles up as far as we could go on the beach and back again - watched a stunning sunset and then came back to the hostel and cooked some pretty impressive pasta!!!

Now we're just gonna chill in the hostel, play some cards and get some sleep! We booked our Fraser Island trip today so we're heading out there on Tuesday for our introduction and then on Weds we get the ferry over and get to drive a 4x4 all over the island - it's actually gonna be amazing!!!

Weather's beautiful, so is the company. Hope the homeland is safe and sound :) love you heaps, Chlo <3
