Well last night I hardly slept! I felt I was woken every hour! First of all by the girl on the bunk above me coming in from her night out, moving loads and then dropping her bag to the floor! I wasn't a happy bunny. I got to sleep though, and the next thing I know she is getting back down from her bunk making more noise. 10mins later she is going back up. So I got back to sleep once again and then was woken up by a huge crash and some guy walking around our room and the others shouting at him get out, get out! So he just turned and ran. Don't know whether he was drunk or looking for some easy stuff to pinch, or both, but he broke our sliding door that stops bugs getting in. We were asking for it really as we should have locked the main door, but it was so hot.
Then the same girl that got in late decided to be up at 6 and wake us all up because she could no longer operate the sliding door. So in summary, very little sleep for me last night.
Today however is just another travel day. I'm on my way to Cairns which feels so strange as its the place I fly out of Australia from. I've still got six nights left but its gone so quickly! Soon ill be living it up in Mew Zealand, which I can't wait for!
I've spoken to people who have been to New Zealand before Oz and say that Oz was a major disappointment because NZ was so awesome! So I'm glad I've done it in this order. Can't believe I've been traveling for six weeks already, it's just gone so quickly.
The weather has improved much more now as I've entered some sort of tropical region which has a completely different climate to the rest of the east cost, so all is good!
Met my German friend Kath again on the bus and watched the last few episodes of friends! Was holding back the tears, but people must have thought we were crazy laughing at the front of the bus every two seconds.
Kath got off at mission beach and I had a nap on my way up to Cairns. Got to the hostel which is really huge and is the place where every bag packer goes to party at the end of their trip! So I saw a few faces I knew. Enjoyed the live music and had a few beers that were less than 5 dollars! Awesome!
Was expecting today to be a wasted day on the bus but I had a really good laugh! Looking forward to Cape Tribulation tomorrow!
