This morning we left Franz Josef where a few people who had the time decided to stay an extra night. It is such a beautiful place, I can't really blame them at all, but I'm looking forward to Wanaka.
On our way we just stopped off for some more Kodak moments, saw some views and waterfalls. Arriving in Wanaka was great, it's basically the New Zealand version Queenstown, so basically a non-touristy ski resort. Beautiful place! Loads of mountain bikes as the ski season is a few days from starting! Gets me itching to ride.
We went out in the beautiful sun and played a bit of rugby in a park looking at the beautiful mountains surrounding us. We then went down to the lake to relax where we skimmed some stones.
Laura cooked a beautiful chilli for us all and we ate every last bit. Fantastic! After chilli, we went to the bar and played killer pool which was entertaining but the bar was empty so we didn't stay long. We looked around town but it was cold and quiet so we went back and had an easy night.
