SATURDAY Having arrived at the hostel and settled in (this place has lockers in the rooms which is cool cos we don't have to battle with our packsafes), we went down to the pool to chill and so who we could meet. We met a nice group of 4 lads from Wales, who shared a beer with us and traded their experiences so far. I forgot to mention that we met another cool guy called Andy at the hostel Orbit in L.a, who is also doing a similar travel plan to us. The lads tols us about a limo trip tonight, so we thought what the hell lets get stuck in and what a better way to see the strip for the first time? It was awesome!! Beers in the bar first $2 a bud! Then our tour guide (who looked and sounded just like Samuel L Jackson) arranged for 2 huge stretched chevrolet limo's to pick us up outside the hostel. There was as much champagne as you could drink and the bass was banging!! We were laughing all the way there, which took about 30 mins as they went the long way round. We met another couple called Fraser and Gale, who are both 25ish. They're from Scotland, and also doing the same route around the globe as us! Fraser is an excellent guitar player and during the dat goes busking to make them some extra spends. Anyway, after the limo we went to the casino New York New York and my god it was massive like something you couldn't imagine - probably the size of Northallerton itself!! We went to the real Cayote Ugly bar, where Charlie embarassed herself by dancing on the stage! After that we went to Blues Bar, which is apparently quite famous and well regarded but we thought it was pants and there were far better things to be doing se we left the group and went wondering. We saw alot of the strip, the Luxor which is about the only one I can now remember, but it was all very impressive. At 2am ish we decided to call it quits, got a burger and went home to bed. Since we have arrived we've ate burgers, burgers, more burgers, pizza, steak, fries - does this count as the Atkins diet????? SUNDAY Today we were late gettin up and a bit tired form our busyness the night before so chilled by the pool all day, then went into Freemont (a smaller version of the main strip, but still has huge casinos) We went for a steak, and Charlie has steak and lobster fro $11-its rather cheap over here to survive! Now were back at the hostel, making cups of tea and having a choc treat to go wiv. We still need to book our Grand Canyon trip (there are tons on offer), so are hoping to do that tomorrow and spend most of the day checking out the strip and getting free drinks!!!!!
