It should say Nevada not Arizona!! THURSDAY. OK, We successfully arrived at the hotel - another piece of cake! (but dont get too excited as our fortunes had a slight dip this day, but nothing major) The hotel was super sexy!! and we mean sexy. It was like something out of a movie set, huge flowers in the lobby, a piano bar, pool and gym, shops, well rated restaurants WOW! The room was mega, mini bar full of everything you could imagine, t.v sound into the bathroom + phone next to toilet, coffee machine, ironing board, robes, a radio you could plug your mp3 player into - you could go on and on it was fab- + the bed was ace for trampolining on! We went and got some birthday beverages,( Smilz had a can of Fosters the size of a mini barrel!) watched some t.v, it was lovely to relax for once as we have been on the go since we arrived as there's so much to do. After chillin, we went down to the bar for cocktails and put some requests to the piano player who was amazing and extremely talented - he could play to ear and sing! Feeling alittle tipsy we went back to our room to order room service tea, which is when disaster struck! I decided it would be a great idea to take some photos in black and white but VERY unfortunately wiped all our photos to date (250 pics) I WAS DEVASTED to say the least- OOPS!!! So sadly you guys will have to use your imaginations about all the creatures at Universal, my new friends now a memory. We are going back to the Hollywood strip to retake some. So all is not lost!!! FRIDAY We were due to fly to Vegas so were up in reasonable time. The flight to Vegas was about an hour with some wonderful views of the dessert on the way. We also saw lots of green circular fields. The airport was rather impressive with gamblers everywhere and huge shops, it was massive. It then took us 7 hours to get from the airport to the hostel-hotel. We didnt know which hostel we were staying at and couldnt get access to the internet. We called the only 2 hostels in Vegas but neither of them had heard of us - but we wern't worried cos I'd already booked it! Anyway to cut along story short we went: to one end of Vegas - by BUS to the other wrong end of Vegas - by CAB to the wrong hostel - by CAB to the right hostel - HOORAY (or not) to find we were booked in for the next night not tonight-OOPS again. The hostel was also full having even rented out their staff quarters to the guy in front of us THEN (they do say things come in three's, Smilz's main shoulder strap on his rucksack snapped!!!! which I found Very funny, luckily so did he. internet - book a hotel - another CAB to the other end of Vegas Suprisingly at the end of all this we were still friends and still smiling!! :) Once at the hotel which only cost us $50, it was quite nice, amazingly, it was right on the strip, clean and we had 2 double beds. So we ordered delivery pizza and had an early night. SATURDAY So today we are eating beans on toast after all those cabs! - just kidding. We took the bus from the hotel to the hostel which we are staying at for the next 2 nights. Lee managed to knot his strap so his broken wing is fixed!!! It has a wicked pool and we have just made lunch in the kitchen which is very organised and clean. We are waiting on our laundry to finish whilst writing this, going to the strip tonight - more fun and games!!!!
