I arrived in Rotorua today and spent the afternoon walking down by the lake which was beautiful. The last couple of days in Auckland I have spent recovering a little,enjoying delicious home-cooked meals,and being shown around the city of Auckland by my two lovely guides Tommy and Jean.(Friends of my Gran who are kindly having me to stay) We have visited One Tree Hill, Cornwall Park, seen the city centre and all the main sites,been along the coastal road looking at views of the harbour and have been to the Auckland Museum which was brilliant.Tomorrow I travel...

One thing you have to get used to being in Fiji is 'Fiji time'. The Fijians are so relaxed they even have their own timescale-which is great for making you feel relaxed or if you're running late for something,but in cases such as ordering food and having to wait an hour for it to arrive,or as we experienced this morning,when you are told your pick-up time is 9am and the bus doesnt' turn up til 10.15(meaning you could have had an extra hour in bed...!!)its not so ...

I think the Fijian culture is rubbing off already-today I had a very laid back day,and my first lie-in for ages!
