Week 6: Thailand (Bangkok) Day 7
So today we had to be up for our flight to Bangkok at 6am. We were so tired yet I was so excited because it meant I was finally seeing Bradley today! So we got up and finished packing our last bits up. We had showers and headed downstairs for breakfast and check out. For the first time EVER our transfer was on time, they are usually running on Asia time which is about half an hour late. The flight was fine although there was a bit of confusion at our boarding gate because they suddenly changed the number gate without telling us. They love doing this out here, no-one ever tells you what's going on!
Once back in Bangkok we checked into Four Sons hostel and Maffo came to meet us! Obviously he appeared with no shoes and an old ladies hat on, the boy never surprises me! It was really good to finally see him and have a catch up about our travels. We decided to head out to get some lunch. It's so different seeing Bangkok when it's not Songkran it was nice just to wonder about. We found a cafe that sold fish and chips, Gemma was really happy about this and I had pizza! Maffo was feeling ill and we were pretty tired so we all headed back to our hostels for a nap before heading off to the airport to get Brad. Me and Gemma managed to get a bit more planning done too. By this point I was bouncing off the walls about seeing Bradley, Gemma even made him a beautiful welcome banner!
So the 3 of us jumped in a cab to the airport and when we got there he had already arrived. Luckily I spotted him by arrivals walking in the wrong direction (standard). So we shouted his name and Gemma waved his banner in hope he would see us! It was so good to see him and finally get a cuddle! Our taxi driver had stayed with us so we all headed straight back into the cab and headed back to Khao San road. Brad chucked his stuff in our room then we headed straight out for some drinks. Khaosan road is much better when it's not covered in water! We watched some of the mayhem which is Khaosan road with a couple of cocktails but then headed back reasonably early because we had to be up early for our flight to Koh Samui. We were all really excited to get to the Islands and I was one happy girl to have Bradley out here!
