Week 18- Australia (Sydney) Day 1
We set off early to head to the blue mountains which takes two hours to get to by train. We past loads if weird and wonderful towns on our way which the blue mountains surround. Once we finally arrived in Katoomba, we got some directions to head to the Three Sisters. We walked through the town centre down a really long road to Echo a view point where you could see the the Three Sisters. The Three Sisters are famous rocks of different shapes and sizes. We went into the visitors centre there to get some more information about what to see and do. We then went on a cliff side walk. Along the way we walked along a trail which lead us to a few view points and through bits of the rainforest and we saw what we thought was Katoomba Waterfall.....we were a bit disappointed with it as we have seen some spectacular waterfalls in the past few months. We decided to carry on a bit further and we entered another bit of rainforest. We walked along a trail down a lot of rocky steps and we finally came across Katoomba waterfall, this one was a bit more impressive! We ended up walking a long way down and we ended up at the bottom of the Three Sisters and we had started overlooking them! The views that we had seen along the way were amazing and beautiful. Now it was the time for the walk back......climbing lots of rocky steps then having to walk back to the train station too! We have racked up a fair few 'kilometres' as the Aussies would say! Now for the 2 hour train ride back, by the time we got back we was shattered! We made spag Bol for dinner something quick and easy. We then Facetimed home and told them about our adventure today. I'm sure we will sleep well tonight :).
