Our grand tour
After breakfast we stocked up on TV shows for the next stage of our journey (no wifi at the next place!) and got the bus over to Valdense, where we were taken to our next stop, an estancia called El Galope in the middle of the Uruguayan countryside.
It was beautiful and so secluded, surrounded only by farms. We spent the rest of the day sunbathing, chilling, only leaving to have a short walk around the farm. The owner had had an accident so their horses had been moved to a neighbouring farm, but it was still really peaceful.
For dinner Monica cooked fondue, a traditional dish, and told us about Uruguay. Her cooking was amazing, as was the wine!
