our trip to Tanzania
We said bye to Christina the gilt from Seattle as she was having a day climatizing and set off around 8:30 am. We climbed some really steep parts today with big rocks to step up. We had to stop a little to get our breath but not for long. We had a 10 minute rest around 11 and continued on the long winding desert paths it seemed like they went on for ever. We had lunch at 12 which was lovely and then it was just round the corner to Kibo camp ( that corner was the longest corner ever. When we had the camp in eyesight it should have got easier but if felt so tough with the wind blowing a little and the mountain shining down on you. It was quite a hike up that last bit but well worth it.
