Today was a good day we woke ti see the sunrise which was really nice. we had tea in bed at 6:45 and packed up ready for breakfast. breakfast we had porridge ( nice and warming) and pancakes with peanut butter and jelly ( a first for me) then we set off about 8:30. ready for the climb. we did steep bits and some flat parts. The sun was shining our spirits were high and the scenery was stunning. We had few stops for water and wees. We stopped for lunch around 12 ( our packed lunch was lovely) the ravens enjoyed some too. Our legs were a bit tired and ready for a rest. After lunch we walked past waterfalls and what looked like pineapple trees. Walked for another 1 1/2 ish up some steep parts but it was worth it to see the campsite. ( felt really good to see the huts). We were amazed by the view to be higher than the clouds was such a feeling. We had our bags brought to our hut and water to wash ( nice to wash ) we changed ready for coffee in the main hut ( with the mountain mice). Joni told us a lot about Tanzania and banana beer ( very interesting). It got cold later so we wrapped up to watch the sunset over mount killi. We had tea pumpkin soup ( nice) and spaghetti with meat sauce. Had our briefing for tomorrow then bed.
