We have had a very busy week but are finally getting things sorted. We think we have found a car, a 3.8 litre Holden (Vauxhall) Commodore. Its done quite a few miles but these cars are the ones that can get over 400,000km on the clock and still do another trip around Oz. We moved from our original hostel yesterday to a more expensive one after a couple of Germans came back late one night and started getting a bit friendly with each other in our dorm. We have a pool now but we had made quite a few friends in the first hostel, we will meet up with them next week for a drink. One of the lads was from Donnie and we played a couple of southeners at pool and beat them, Yorkshire, Yorkshire.

We are going to spend about another week here and then head south and look for some fruit picking work. There are so many backpackers here at the moment that work is hard to find. Anoyway at least when we get a car we can get to the beach and other attractions more easily, we have only been once up to now. Its cooler today (26 degrees) which is a really nice change because its been up to about 36 degrees!
