We saw the Cu Chi tunnels today which were the tunnels used by the Vietnamese in the war with the US. As you can see they are very small but I just about managed it. You couldn't see your hand in front of your face, there were bats flying past your head and you had to crawl on your hands and knees and feel where you were going. I had enough after 5 minutes so I can image what it was like living in these for years. We also both got to fire live rounds on an AK47 which was pretty good but very loud.
We saw the weapons that the Vietnamese used and all sorts of booby traps that they set up in the jungle. These mainly involved a hole in the ground covered with leaves with metal spikes at the bottom. Some even had snakes in the bottom. It our last day here as we are heading over the border into Cambodia tomorrow. Hopefully we will keep away from the fighting that has been going on there recently!
