In Ho Chi Minh City now after leaving the lovely beaches of Nha Trang, back to the mopeds. We went to the Reunification Palace today which is the place where northern and southern Vietnam were reunified after the Vietnam War. After that we went to the War Museum which is really difficult to describe properly in an e-mail. There were graphic pictures of exactly what the Americans did in the war, the bombings, the torture, the beheadings. Not the sort of thing you see in the media in the west. All the chemical weapons used have caused many babies to be born with disabilities, people that we have been seeing every day we have been here. Unexploded bombs still kill many people here each year.

Its weird how everyone here is so friendly to Western people after all that has happened only 35 years ago!
