It was our last full day yesterday and we walked for miles. We went over to the other side of the creek and went to Sheikh Sayeed Al Maktoums house, a heritage site showing how Dubai has grown from a desert town to a massive city. We went to the Bastique Quarter where there are loads of old houses with roofs that work like modern air-conditioning. Then we went to the museum which was pretty good. It showed how the old Dhows (boats) were made and how they were used in the pearling industry before oil was discovered.

Last night we went to Gordon Ramseys restaurant, Verre. The food was really nice but very expensive. We have decided that posh food isn't for us. Gordon wasn't there either but thats no suprise.
