We had a day of winetasting yesterday which was good. We went to 4 wineries and tried a selection of whites, red and ports so we were a bit tipsy by the end of the day. We have just done 2 long days of fruit picking. We got picked up at 5:30am this morning and got dropped off at 7:15pm. We did 10 hours picking in the heat today, it was about 24 degrees but its hot when you are out in it all day. After picking today we got taken to the winery that we have been picking for and they gave us a tour of the winery. We saw how the grapes are crushed and then fermented and stored before being bottled. We got to taste a few at different ...

We have managed to find some work now but unfortunately it is fruit picking again at a winery. We are now picking Shiraz grapes after doing chardonnay grapes at Margaret River. I think our career prospects are moving on to Champagne or fine ports if we are lucky. We are both looking for other work but we will stick with this until we get something else. We went fishing yesterday but didn't catch anything apart from a few roccks that I got stuck on. We did see 3 dolphins while we were on the jetty and harbour though, one came really close into the shore. We spent today looking for jobs again and applied for a couple more. We finally arrived in Adelaide on Friday after 3 days on the road crossing the Nullabor. We were driving for about 8 hours a day and covered over 2,000km. There was 1 stretch of road that was 146km without a bend. The accomodation on the way over wasn't very nice and when we got to Adelaide all the hostels were full so we have just had another 3 nights in the tent.
