A tough game down in Manchester against one of the top teams in the country. Man City started the game the brighter and could consider themselves unfortunate to be 2-0 down at half time through an own goal from a Beth H corner and Megan Beel prodding home from close range. Man City had 2 gilt-edged one on one chances which they failed to take. On another day we could have easily been going in at HT behind.

Credit to our girls though, who are relentless, for playing some good stuff in the second half and overpowering City. Rosie soon added a third with a great finish after neat play from Zoe, Beth H and Briggsy. A fourth followed when a Beth H corner found its way back to her and she floated the ball right over the keepers head and into the net. The fifth goal was a carbon copy of the first when a Beth H corner was turned in by one of the City players. Meg rounded off the scoring with the sixth, driving a cracking shot into the top corner.
Close game in the first half which could have gone either way, but in the end the girls ran out worthy winners.
