Bury Girls U16 0:9 Cestria Galaxy U16

Today saw the girls travel to Bury to face the U16's in the West Lancashire league. Cestria soon got to grips with the windy conditions and their passing game clicked into gear resulting in the first goal with Jess tapping in after a shot from Rosie, number two followed with Zoe finishing off a great move. The girls football was really flowing resulting in 3 more goals from Rosie before half time!! A great header from a perfect Beth corner, a great chip after good work from Briggsy and rounding off a fantastic hattrick prodding the ball home from close range.

The second half saw us kicking with the wind (sort of) and Zoe making it 6-0 after good play from Briggsy. Vic added the 7th with a header from another good Beth corner and Megan Beel added the 8th after coming close on a few occasions. Jess rounded off the scoring bundling the ball over for the ninth.
Great performance from the girls in difficult windy conditions. Well done to Bury for going right to the end instead of throwing the towel in. Good luck for the season.
