Cestria Galaxy v Mersey Girls

Our friends from Merseyside travelled up in the terrible weather to play us at Langley Park Stadium. Quite apt that they would be our last opponents in the Lancashire league as we've had some titanic battles with them in the past and forged a strong bond with them.

In all honesty the game was a bit one sided with Cestria rattling up 5 goals by half time from Rosie Young (3) and Megan Beel (2).

The girls scored another 5 goals in the second half through Zoe Ness (2), Rosie Young, Megan Beel and a collectors item from Lauren Jordinson. The Mersey players never stopped trying and played with smiles on their faces so well done to them.

FT Cestria 10:0 Mersey girls

The girls bow out of another league in another county, unbeaten and cup and league winners in each one.

Roll on Gothia World Youth cup in the summer.
