Cup final Cestria Galaxy v Preston NE
The scene was set at Burscough FC for the League Cup Final v Preston NE. Preston are a very good side who are a year younger than Cestria, making their season all the more impressive.
The first half kicked off with Cestria starting well but unable to score. Passes started going astray and general sloppiness crept in. This, partnered with Preston's cracking attitude and work rate meant Cestria weren't at the races and Preston scored the first goal, and really should have scored a second minutes later. A big let off for Cestria who were struggling to impose themselves. The feeling was Preston wouldn't be able to keep this effort up and Cestria couldn't play as badly in the 2nd half.

The second half kicked off and sure enough Cestria were camped out in the Preston half resulting in 2 quick goals from Zoe Ness and Jess White. Chances were coming thick and fast with the Preston gk pulling off a great save to deny Zoe a second.
Cestria scored a third through Zoe Ness and a fourth from Beth Hepple after great work from Beth Jennings.
