Hello!! We are awaiting our train to Florence--we will be taking the over night train there, it's a 9 hour train ride!! And since we are trying to save money, we opted for the cheaper option of having a couchette, rather than a bed--we aren't sure what a couchette is, we may be in regular seats for the 9 hour train ride!! ah, well... you could say that it's worth it to get to Florence. Bon soir friends! Nice is very different from Paris, much more relaxed and easy going, my kind of city! We spent the afternoon on the beach but one draw back, the beaches are all rocks! I am not talking about pebbles I mean good 5 inch stones--it's also like that when you get in the water. The combination of the rocks and the really strong waves knocked me onto my butt today! i escaped unharmed except for a scraped elbow; haha. we are off to try and find a laund...

Hello all-- We have made it to Nice after a few long travel days!! Lourdes was incredible and today we were on the train for 9 hours but we have arrived on the Mediterranean coast. It's beauitful! I will write more tomorrow evning after exploring the coast. Hope you all are having a fabulous summer
